LEGO Masters Australia Vs The World Season 6 Episode2 Go Kart Final Builds Brick Bracket

LEGO Masters Australia Vs The World Season 6 Episode 2 -Full Build Recap

Challenge – ‘Go Go Go-Karts’

In a LEGO Masters first, all eight teams are combined to make four super teams. Two Aussie and two international.

Their challenge is to design and build an eye-catching go-kart. When the build portion of the challenge is complete, teams will compete in a four-lap race around a real go-kart track.

The winner will be determined by points for design, and which build survives the race in the best condition.

After winning Episode 1, Annalena and Felix get to choose who their new team mates will be, plus the other teams. They picked the other strong builders, Ida & Peter as their own teammates.

Charlie (VIC) & Haley (QLD) with Eric & Ben (NSW) – Australia

Possibly a perfect combo! The 4 young team mates from Australia got paired together. Charlie & Haley are car enthusiasts and very keen to be the driver for this challenge. With the boys not knowing much about cars.

So the team decided on a girlie Dream Car for their build. Made out of all pink with a nice purple trim, it’s a slick convertible. Complete with fluffy dice! It’s slim line so it’s light and race ready!

Dianne & Shane (WA) with Sam & Emilio (VIC) – Australia

After realising the Denmark & Germany team were also building a hotdog, the Aussies had to adjust their build. Annalena made it very clear if they were also building a hotdog, his was going to be better.

Quickly changing their idea, they settled on a Banana Split. Brickman says he doesn’t think they can do the shape of the banana very well, but they continue on.

Krystle & Michelle – USA with Camille & Caroline – France

Krystle had the initial concept of a lily pad, with the teams morphing the idea into a frog.

Ida & Peter – Denmark with Annalena & Felix – Germany

The countries from the north have come together for the perfect idea! A European hotdog! Complete with all the accompaniments. That’s onion, mustard, tomato sauce, pickles. The bold colours absolutely work for this build!

Judging

For the Dream Car by Charlie, Haley, Ben and Eric, Brickman likes the slimline approach. He loves the pop of the colour choice and accessories, scoring the team 7 out of 10.

The Hotdog car by Annalena, Felix, Ida and Peter, Brickman loved the sculpting of the hotdog. Complimenting all the toppings, scoring them an 8 out of 10.

Dianne, Shane, Sam and Emilio’s Banana Split, Brickman immediately jumped to the sculpting, pointing out how hard it can be. He provided feedback on how to better achieve that, but complimented the colours they picked. Scoring them 6.5 out of 10.

The Frog by Krystle, Michelle, Camille and Caroline, Brickman loved the quirkiness of the build, identifying it would be a crowd favourite. But he questions if it can survive race condition. Scoring them a 7 out of 10.

The Race

As the racers take off, Annalena gets out in front, but a large piece of her sausage falls off the back, going under the wheels of the other drivers. Creating a bumpy ride for Michelle in the frog, she loses a side panel, while holding the otherside on with her hand.

Dianne on a mission to win is powering through on the Banana, now in front of Annalena. But receiving a bump from behind by Charlie in the Dream Car, Dianne’s complete front falls off the car, leaving debris all over the track. Making her disqualified.

This paved the way for Annalena to take the lead back, where she only gained more distance. But with next to no bricks left on her car, Dianne catches back up, stealing the lead back.

Taking a corner too wide, Michelle in the Frog hit a wall, losing what’s left of their build, becoming disqualified.

Michelle, still powering on wants to race still. Attempting to overtake Annalena on the inside, they collide, drastically damaging the hotdog.

Charlie in the Dream Car loses the rest of her build on a turn, becoming disqualified, leaving Annalena the only driving with some of their build left on the car.

Heading into the final lap, Dianne (disqualified) sits in first, Annalena with just the front of her bun left in second, Charlie (disqualified) in third and Michelle (disqualified) in forth.

In an attempted to get in front of Dianne, Annalena hits the back of Dianne, losing the rest of her build, and becoming disqualified with the rest.

In the chaos, Dianne and Annalena get stuck, Michelle and Charlie fly past. With Charlie crossing the line first in true Steven Bradbury fashion.

The Winners

With all cars becoming disqualified as none of them finished with bricks on the car, the winners come down to purely aesthetics. Which means the German and Denmark teams take out the win, getting the immunity and an advantage in the next build.

Next episode in an elimination build, teams will build some twisted tales.
